A BAR manager accused of rape in Tenerife is still waiting for the results of DNA tests which he hopes will prove his innocence.
Andrew Logan, 34, of Clitheroe, moved to the Spanish island just months before the allegation was made in August last year.
He was arrested after a teenage holidaymaker in the resort of Playa de las Americas accused him of the offence.
Logan, who lives on the island with his wife, went with police and family say he gave a DNA test voluntarily.
He was charged in a Spanish court with sexual aggression, an offence which covers all sexual offences, including rape.
A bar worker from Aberdeen, 47-year-old Graham Coull, is alleged to have stood guard outside during the incident. He has been charged with the same offence.
The pair were released on provisional liberty, similar to British bail, awaiting trial.
They both deny the charge.
Police officers confirmed the girl, from Wiltshire, was on holiday with her family and had been drinking before the alleged offences. She received medical treatment.
The judge handling the case has yet to receive the forensic tests back, despite expecting them last month, a spokesman for the Spanish authorities said.
Speaking soon after the allegations came to light, a family friend back in Lancashire said Logan was determined to carry on with life as normal.
