BURNLEY pub the Rose and Crown is in the running for an industry award for its services to the local community.
The Manchester Road pub is one of three on the shortlist for a Punch Taverns Shine award in the category Best Community Experience.
Judges will announce the result next week at a dinner.
Nicola Highton, of Punch Taverns, said: "The awards are our annual reward and recognition scheme for licensees who go the extra mile.
"Pubs are a focal point in the local community and in this category we are looking for a winner that excels in this role.
"They may be actively involved in charity work, or providing essential facilities to nearby residents.
"The Rose and Crown deserves considerable praise for being shortlisted and we wish them every success in the final."
Regional finals are being held throughout January and February and there will be a national final in May.
