RESIDENTS of Nelson are being encouraged to turn up and have their say on the future of a popular park in the town.
The county council are set to release plans about the overhaul of Walverden Park and want people who use it to have an input.
A presentation day and exhibition will be held this Saturday at St John Southworth Social Club, Vaughan Street.
Lancashire County Council's community design team will present the draft plan for the regeneration work on Walverden Park between 10am and 4pm.
Coun Mahboob Ahmed, executive member for parks, said: "This will be the ideal time for members of the public to make their views known by either speaking to staff from the council, staff from Friends of Walverden Park, or completing the comments forms that will be available."
Keith Chadwick, chairman of Friends of Walverden Park, added: "The plans will be displayed in the social club so local people can take their time to have a detailed look at the plans and have their say.
"Everyone is encouraged to come along and be involved in this project and all comments will be considered for the drafting of the final plans which will be submitted to the Nelson Area Committee."
