World renowned animator Nick Park from Preston, proved his popular duo Wallace and Gromit were here to stay as two of Britain's most entertaining characters after picking up a top award at the Baftas.
The creator's latest success, Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were Rabbit, scooped the Alexander Korda Award for the Outstanding British Film of the Year at Sunday's glittering ceremony, hailed as the British 'Oscars'.
It was the first full length feature film produced by Aardman Animations using their famous characters.
It is the latest in a string of accolades for the 48-year-old, from Walmer Bridge, who was nominated for an Academy Award in 1989 for A Grand Day Out and won two Academy Awards for The Wrong Trousers in 1993 and a Close Shave in 1995.
