A ONE-TO-ONE chat service based in Rawtenstall has been fined £25,000 by the industry regulator.
Watchdog ICSTIS launched an investigation into operations by 2Ergo Ltd, based at St Mary's Chambers, Haslingden Road, after receiving a complaint about the service provided by the company.
The complaint related to a premium-rate reverse billed adult one-to-one chat service, charged at £1.50 per message received.
2Ergo Ltd was issued with a formal reprimand, and barred from operating the service until it could be shown to comply with the ICSTIS Code of Practice.
