BLACKBURN Rovers have insisted they're not yet thinking about summer transfer targets.
A torrent of media speculation this week hs linked Rovers with a number of potential players when the next window opens at the end of the season.
But with the window more than two months away, the club is putting all its focus on European qualification before thinking about any moves in the market.
Mark Hughes and his players flew back from a weekend break in Dubai yesterday ready for Saturday's home game with Arsenal, which could take them into the top five.
"We have no specific transfer plans at all. It's too early," said Rovers chairman John Williams, who rejected reports they were set to make moves for, among others, David Dunn, Mark Delaney and Michael Bridges.
Williams added: "We know this sort of thing is part and parcel of the landscape but we don't do anything concrete this early. It's no different to any other season at this time of year.
"We want to keep ourselves abreast of situations but there hasn't been any discussions with anyone at all.
"We have a new chief scout who is just starting to get his feet under the table before we see what's available and not available."
A national newspaper has tipped Dunn for a return to Rovers.
The Birmingham player left three years ago after a fallout with then-manager Graeme Souness.
Since then his time at City has been blighted by persistent injuries, including the calf strain that has kept him out for most of this month.
Delaney was believed to be a Blackburn target in the January transfer window after he handed in a transfer request at Aston Villa.
However, the right back, who played regularly under Mark Hughes for Wales, is on the verge of finally sorting out his contract wrangle.
Villa boss David O'Leary has indicated he is keen for Delaney to sign a one-year extension to his current deal, which expires in the summer.
Former Leeds hitman Bridges is a far less likely option despite him rediscovering his goalscoring touch at Carlisle.
He has impressed at League Two level but he struggled to make an impact just one division above earlier this season, when he flopped at Bristol City.
