A BLACKBURN school is putting on a special evening to celebrate a 20- year link with a German grammar school.
St Wilfrid's CE High School and Technology College is behind the birthday bash which will commemorate the exchange programme it set up 20 years ago with Pegnitz Gymnasium in Northern Bavaria.
The exchange sees approximately 40 pupils and staff visit Pegnitz each October with the Duckworth Street school returning the favour just before Easter.
Children stay with host families, go on cultural visits and spend time in the school.
For many years there has also been a work experience programme where older students from both schools get a taste of work in another country.
To celebrate the partnership the school is looking for anyone who has participated in the programme to get in touch and attend the reunion event on April 8.
