Blackburn Rovers midfielder Jonathon Douglas has been called up to the Republic of Ireland squad by their new boss Steve Staunton.
Douglas is currently on loan at Leeds but he has been rewarded for some impressive displays in the Championship by being named in Staunton's 23-man squad for the friendly against Sweden on March 1.
His only other two previous caps were won in 2004.
