A STAG night ended in a disaster for one of the party when he was arrested and spent two days in a cell.
Ranjeet Bhullar, a 23-year-old taxi operator of Bacup Road, Rawtenstall, admitted threatening behaviour and possession of cannabis.
He was given a six-month conditional discharge and fined £60 with £40 costs by Blackpool magistrates.
Prosecutor Craig Cleminson said on Saturday at 11.45pm, Bhullar was seen in the resort's Talbot Square hitting out at another man. He struggled with police arresting him and had to be taken to the ground.
A small bag of cannabis was found on him when he was searched.
Peter Manning, defending, said Bhullar blamed his behaviour on drinking a large amount of alcohol, something he rarely did, but he did use cannabis occasionally.
