Babyshambles aren't the only band to rise out of the ashes of The Libertines. Dirty Pretty Things feature ex-Libertine members Carl Barat, Gary Powell and Anthony Rossomando, and they're coming to Preston on April 26.
The trio have been joined by ex-Cooper Temple Clause member Didz Hammond, but despite these past musical connections, Barat insists: "It's a new band.
"I'm moving on and drawing a line in the sand behind me. We're doing things the Libertines didn't."
Dirty Pretty Things, who are named after Barat's London club night of the same name, sold out their first tour in less than 20 minutes.
So they've announced another 16-date jaunt, including the Preston show at 53 Degrees as well as another north west gig at Liverpool Academy on April 29.
The band have been busy writing and recording an album in LA with Dave Sardy, who has previously produced Jet, Marilyn Manson, Rolling Stones and Oasis.
Manager Alan McGee has already hailed that album, due out in May, as "a classic".
Dirty Pretty Things play 53 Degrees in Preston on April 26. Tickets are £10.
