Blackpool's streets will be buzzing with delegates attending the Labour Party's Spring Conference in the resort this weekend.
Thousands of party members as well as big name politicians and union representatives are set to descend upon the Winter Gardens tommorow (Friday) for the annual event - which is this year celebrating its centenary - taking place in the town from February 10 to 12.
And a number of local visits from government ministers are also expected to take place, one of the first being the official unveiling of the Palatine Leisure Centre and Community Sports College by Culture, Media and Sport minister - Tessa Jowell - at noon tomorrow.
Extra security staff have been drafted in from police forces across the UK specially for the conference and anti-terrorist safety precautions - such as the sealing of main sewers and bus service diversions - have been steadily increasing in the town centre in anticipation of the event over the last few weeks.
