Dereck Acorah fans were in for a TV treat this week after the celebrity ghosthunter was shown banishing a spectre from the Blackpool illuminations' warehouse.
The latest episode of Living TV's 'Derek Acorah's Ghost Towns, aired on Tuesday, showed the charismatic Liverpudlian and Illuminations staff carrying out a 'psychic investigation' and exorcism of the Rigby Road building's resident ghost, Ted, late last year.
The 'Ghost Towns' team, led by co-host, Daniella Westbrook, was invited to the Victorian building after numerous reports from Illuminations manager, Peter Parr, and fitter, Frank Murray, of hearing unexplained noises or seeing spooky, strange shadows late at night.
Peter said: "The depot is often quite spooky at night, particularly when the wind is blowing and doors creaking.
"I remember one evening being sat in my office with a cup of tea. I thought I heard footsteps cross the hall outside the office but when I jumped up to look there was no-one there."
According to the top TV psychic - who collapsed shortly after using a possession technique to get rid of the ghoul - Ted was a former boat owner who drowned in the early 1900s and had been using certain members of Illuminations staff as earthly 'hosts' ever since.
Peter added: "We stood in a circle in Number One shed and Derek summoned "Ted".
"He then spoke in a funny voice and ran off to the doors then collapsed on the floor.
"I had to bring him round with water and when he woke he told us he had sent Ted to a better place.
"We will have to see whether that is true or if people continue to have strange experiences in the depot!"
