GRAFFITI daubed along back streets in Darwen has been removed by the council.
Residents in Greenway Street had complained to Coun Eileen Entwistle after slogans were painted on walls along their back street, stretching across several houses.
Coun Entwistle said: "It is this sort of anti-social behaviour that brings an area down.
"The youngsters need to realise what effect they're having on the lives of their neighbours and other local people.
"It isn't just about making a mess which depresses residents living nearby.
"Cleaning up this sort of thing means spending money from our council tax which could be spent on providing positive services within a community."
