Burnley striker Kyle Lafferty has extended his loan stay with Darlington for another month, despite picking up an injury that had denied him the chance to link up with Northern Ireland.
The 18-year-old has been a huge hit since being allowed out to continue his education last month, scoring three goals in six appearances for the Quakers to help lift the League Two side into the play-off zone.
Lafferty has also been boosted by a call-up to the Under 21 squad for their game with Israel this week.
However, the Enniskillen-born striker picked up a slight injury in Saturday's game with Boston United and has had to pull out of the trip before returning to Turf Moor for treatment on the injury.
Lafferty will travel back to the north east this week to continue his loan spell, although Burnley now have the option of an instant recall if his services are required at Turf Moor.
