NELSON booked their place in the semi-finals with a stunning last-gasp win over the mighty FC United.
In front of over 3,000 fans at Bury's Gigg Lane, Robbie Smith controlled Jason Jones' cross to the back post in the last minute of extra time before stroking it past Barrie George to send the Blues fans into raptures.
The closest the home side came to scoring was on the half hour when Leon Mike curled a wonderful effort from outside the area which clipped the top of the crossbar.
Nelson also hit the woodwork with 20 minutes left. Michael Holt blasted goalwards from a tight angle, only to see his effort bounce down off the underside of the bar.
United did have the ball in the net at the end of the first period of extra time, but the goal was ruled out for offside.
But Nelson saved the best until last when Smith popped up with his late winner.
