CAMPAIGNERS against wind turbines in Edgworth are confident they have a strong case ahead of the public inquiry later this month.
And the Edgworth Against Turbines group has already raised £6,000 towards their legal representation.
Kathryn Rogers, who lives next door to the proposed site of the two 100m-high wind turbines at Uglow Farm, said: "We are all set for the public inquiry on February 28 at the Barlow Institute.
"All our evidence has been compiled and the experts lined up.
"We have excellent representation from Rupert Warren, a barrister from London, and along with the representation for the council we should have a strong case.
"Anyone is welcome to come and watch at any time over the three days of the inquiry - in fact the more bums on seats the better."
The group still has a long way to go to reach its £30,000 target but plans to continue with community and village events throughout the summer.
The next event will be a dinner dance and ball on March 18 at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel.
