Re the article about Whitebirk roundabout and what the Highways Agency is going to spend to 'put right' the problems of heavy traffic build-up on the slip roads and how they back-up on to the motorway.
One easy and cheap solution would be to burn off the lane markings on the roundabout.
Before they put these down I can't remember the roundabout, although it was busy, ever being as bad as it is now.
I travel on the M65 every day and come off and get on at Junction 6 at peak times and it is much worse and at times more dangerous since the introduction of the lane markings.
