TICKETS to see former Smiths frontman Morrissey at Blackburn's King George's Hall sold out within 90 minutes yesterday morning.
More than 100 people queued outside the theatre in Northgate to bag their tickets for the gig on May 11.
The first fans had been shivering on the theatre doorstep since 6am - three hours before the doors opened.
Tickets allocated to internet websites such as Ticketmaster, were snapped up in 15 minutes.
The remainder of the 2,000 seats were sold out by 10.30am -- as fast as theatre staff could process them.
Within hours, dozens of the £29.50 tickets were put on internet auction site ebay, selling for £85 each.
Morrissey is to play a massive 29-date tour around the UK in support of his new album Ringleader of the Tormentors.
One of the most influential figures in alternative rock, the Manchester icon continues to be hero-worshipped by music fans across the globe.
