Stars of ITV's new Saturday night hit Dancing on Ice were in Blackpool this week training for the show.
North-west based celebrity competitors ex-Coronation Street actor Sean Wilson and actress Gaynor Faye had been using Blackburn Ice Arena to train with their partners, leading skaters Mirika Humphreys and Blackpool lad, Dan Whiston.
But problems with the ice in Blackburn meant that Dan was able to introduce his colleagues to his home arena at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, where he is one of the stars of the Hot Ice Show, which celebrates its 70th year this year.
For the past two weeks Dancing on Ice has been watched by over 11 million viewers as amateur skaters and their experienced partners carry out live ice dance routines in a bid to win the public vote. At the end of each show one couple is voted off the show.
Daniel and Gaynor have been installed as 22/1 outsiders to win the show with bookies SkyBet, with Sean and Mirika priced at 8/1.
