Chorley player manager Shaun Teale hailed the attitude of his squad after his side put themselves right back into play-off contention with a well-earned 2-1 victory at Colwyn Bay.
Chorley are currently in eighth place with 17 games left, just five points away from a play-off position.
Teale said: "We are proud of our away record, but we have had some good recent home results."
Chorley have won three of their last six home league games and five of their last six league away games.
Teale praised his players, especially in their latest success, when they were without skipper Jamie Vermiglio, still not over a hamstring injury, and Martin Clark, serving a one-match ban for five cautions.
The team's character was tested further when Chris Thompson and Adam Roscoe had to go off injured.
"The attitude of the kids in the squad is fabulous," said Teale. "When we were 1-0 up half-time I felt we were in control of the game - more than the week before when we led 1-0 at Fleetwood.
"We had a game plan to deal with Colwyn Bay and we really appreciated the support from the Chorley fans at the match, especially at the end."
Vermiglio is still doubtful for Saturday's match against Kidsgrove Athletic at Victory Park, but Thompson and Roscoe are hoping to be back in the reckoning. Thompson felt a pain in the lower part of his shin and Roscoe had a nasty kick on the leg. Peter Wright took his season's total to 14 goals with a penalty in the 80th minute awarded when he was toppled by two defenders.
Kidsgrove will provide another stern test for the Chorley defence, but with Clark set to return the Magpies could well avenge the 4-2 League Cup defeat in Staffordshire in November.
Chorley Reserves held reigning champions Morecambe Reserves to a 1-1 draw in the Lancit Lancashire League at Victory Park on Saturday.
Chris Bates gave Chorley an eighth-minute lead with his third goal in four matches but the visitors levelled five minutes later.
