THE rightful owners of almost £2,000 of stolen electrical equipment were today urged by police to come forward and claim it.
Officers from Eastern Division's burglary team recovered 10 brand new transformers, worth between £180 and £200 each, from a flat they were searching in Oswaldtwistle.
A 27-year-old man from Oswaldtwistle was arrested for burglary at homes and commercial properties and after being interviewed by officers he was released on bail pending further inquiries.
His flat was searched as a result of his arrest.
The Canatronics Eco-lite Transformers are white and reduce 240volts to 110volts.
A police spokesman said: "The transformers are currently in police property just waiting for the owners to come forward and collect them.
"Obviously this is a substantial amount of electrical equipment and we are keen to return it to its rightful owner as soon as possible.
"These transformers are brand new and although we have checked our crime logs Lancashire-wide we have been unable to trace the owner."
