POLICE are hunting a pair of young arsonists who have set fire to a number of trees in Burnley.
A group of teenagers were seen running down a back alley following one of the incidents which happened at about 9.10pm on Sunday when a conifer was set alight in the garden of a house in Powell Street.
One was described as a girl with shoulder-length blonde wavy hair who was riding a bike. She was with a boy aged between 12 and 14, who was 4ft 6ins and had short brown hair. He was wearing dark tracksuit bottoms.
The other incidents happened in Coal Clough Lane between 9pm on Saturday and 12am Sunday and in Pasturegate at 7pm on Sunday. Anyone with information should contact Burnley police on 01282 425001.
