THREE Burnley fans destined to fly the flag for Burnley at next summer's World Cup are appealing for thieves to return their pride and joy, which was snatched from a pizza restaraunt in the wake of Saturday's defeat to Preston North End.
The huge nine foot by four foot flag, featuring the St George's Cross with 'Burnley FC' in white lettering made especially for the tournament in Germany, was left in a grey Adidas rucksack in Planet Pizza, but had vanished when the owners returned 20 minutes later.
