Preston-based dance-punks The KBC are gearing up to release their second single - and they're launching it with a party in their home city on February 11.
The trio - James Mulholland (vocals/guitar), Rick Ormerod (Bass) and Michael Brown (Drums) - were picked to play the unsigned stage at Glastonbury this summer, and have since enjoyed radio support by Marc Riley and Steve Lamacq on 6 Music, with part of the band's storming In The City showcase being broadcast live on Radio One.
They've spent the last few months recording and demoing material for their debut album, and have just completed dates with The Paddingtons, The Departure, Forward Russia and The Sunshine Underground, as well as running their own boozy night Club Sandwich in Preston.
The single, their first release since March 2005's limited edition debut Trippin', is a double a-side of Pride Before The Fall and Poisonous Emblem and was produced by Tom Rixton, who has worked with Placebo, Depeche Mode, Tom Vek.
It's released on CD and seven-inch vinyl through Manchester's upcoming High Voltage Sounds label on February 6.
The KBC play the Adelphi in Preston on Saturday, February 11.
