POLICE today reassured the public they were doing all they could to find those responsible for a violent vehicle robbery and a botched burglary.
A man putting his Audi S4 in the garage of a house in Grassmere Road, Helmshore, was attacked by masked raiders who made off in the car.
The car later crashed in Oldham after the robbery which happened at about 10pm on Monday.
At about 7.15pm the following evening, masked men unsuccessfully tried to break into a house in Bridge Street, Haslingden, before fleeing in a silver Volkswagen Golf.
Det Insp Derek Jones said: "I would like to reassure the public investigations are still ongoing. If anyone has any information about these incidents then it is imperative they contact the police as soon as possible.
"It may be that they've seen something suspicious and not thought to report it until now, or they may have thought that what they saw was irrelevant."
