PLANS for a new health centre in Accrington have been submitted to Hyndburn Council.
Hyndburn and Ribble Valley Primary Care Trust (PCT) wants to build along Blackburn Road and Lonsdale Street as part of the Phoenix regeneration project.
It launched a public consultation on the health development in December. Residents have until March 1 to give their views on issues such as design of the building, services it will include and access.
Residents are also being asked to suggest names for the health centre.
The health centre is one of three planned under the Local Improvement Finance Trust (LIFT) initiative for the area served by Hyndburn and Ribble Valley PCT -- the other two will be in Paradise Street, East Accrington, and Clitheroe.
Copies of the consultation document can be obtained by ringing the PCT on 01254 380454 or by visiting the website at www.hrvpct.nhs.uk.
