Now in his 31st year as a solo artist, Richard Thompson has travelled far since his 'happy folkie' days in Fairport Convention. See him in action in Blackpool on February 8.
Thompson's guitar mastery has attracted high-profile admirers such as REM, Elvis Costello and Television's Tom Verlaine.
Richard has recorded built up a loyal fanbase through his numerous solo albums and world tours, particularly throughout the 80s and 90s, but is also regarded as something of an undiscovered secret.
Joining Richard on stage at the Grand Theatre will be renowned double-bassist Danny Thompson, who has played with stars such as Roy Orbison and Pentangle as well as penning music for TV series Thunderbirds.
Richard Thompson plays the Grand Theatre on Wednesday, February 8 at 7.30pm. Tickets from £15 - call the Box Office on 01253 290 190.
