A MAN who was left fighting for his life after he was allegedly attacked in a Burnley street remained in hospital today.
John Boslem was said to be in a stable condition in the intensive care unit of Salford's Hope Hospital following the alleged assault, which happened in Glebe Street in the early hours of New Year's Day.
Mr Boslem, 39, suffered head injuries, three broken ribs, and a punctured lung in the incident near the youth club.
He had to undergo emergency surgery to remove a blood clot from his brain.
Mr Boslem has regained consciousness and was breathing partly with the aid of a ventilator, police said.
Jeffrey Bonney, 31, of Glebe Street, has been charged wounding with intent in connection with the incident.
