Latvian bank chief Valeri Belokon made a flying visit to the Seasiders' game with Oldham to continue takeover talks with club owner, Owen Oyston.
The man behind the Baltic International bank, who has links with the likes of Neil Bush, President George W Bush's brother, and exiled tycoon, Boris Berezovsky, wants to get involved at Bloomfield Road in a bid to promote his Kimmel Brewery in the UK.
And the Riga-born millionaire arrived just as a row brewed between local animal feed tycoon, David Haythornthwaite and club chairman, Karl Oyston, over another bid for the club.
Mr Haythornthwaite, a long term Seasiders fan, made public details of his bid to buy the club's ground and called for more information from the Oyston family.
But Karl Oyston responded by claiming that the Lytham-based businessman had failed to demonstrate that he had the resources needed for a buy-out.
There has been no news on former Sheffield United chairman, Reg Brealey, and his takeover bid but talks are said to be continuing with another East European group which has links with Fylde Coast businesses.
