BURNLEY police have handed over a cheque for £782 to the Mayor of Burnley's Charity Appeal.
The funds, in aid of the Child Development Centre, were raised at the annual Burnley Police Community Cup football competition.
Organiser PC Andy Thornhill said: "We're delighted with the amount raised, it's the highest amount in our history.
"I'd like to thank all the local teams who competed."
Coun Roger Frost's chosen charity will benefit the NHS child development unit at Reedley Hall, to help youngsters with physical or learning difficulties.
