A 25-YEAR-old man was airlifted to hospital after he stepped into the path of a car in Clitheroe.
Police say the man, who lives in the Clitheroe area but is originally from Turkey, was attempting to cross Whalley Road, near the junction with Turner Street around 1.30pm yesterday.
He suffered minor head and leg injuries following the collision with a red Ford Escort travelling towards the town centre. He was taken by air ambulance to Royal Preston Hospital and his injuries were described by police as non-life threatening.
The woman driver of the Escort was uninjured.
