HYNDBURN volunteers can get extra training thanks to a new scheme launched in Accrington.
The Hyndburn Community Network has begun to offer free training in promotion and publicity for groups in the borough.
Volunteers involved in voluntary, community and faith organisations can receive informal tuition with opportunities to meet other groups.
The next training day will be 'Introduction to Publicity and Promotion,' aimed at providing cost effective ideas on how to promote groups and developing materials such as leaflets and press releases.
The event takes place on Wednesday, January 25 from 10am to 1pm at the network's meeting room, Voluntary and Community Resource Centre, the former St James School, Cannon Street, Accrington.
The training sessions are free to groups who are members of the Network. If a group is not a member representatives can register before booking a place on the course.
