A baby who was born weighing only two pounds has celebrated her first birthday.
And to thank hospital staff who treated her, parents Tracy Heys and Dean Fielding have raised £2,500.
The couple, of Marsh Terrace, Darwen, said baby Megan had still only put on ten pounds when she reached eight months.
She had to spend ten weeks in hospital, three in intensive care at Queen's Park.
For her first birthday on New Year's Eve, dad Dean, 30, a labourer at Weldon Engineering, made a 3,500ft parachute jump to raise £1,000.
And mum Tracy, 34, organised a Ladies Night at the Highfield Club, Darwen, which raised a further £1,500.
Dean said: "My local pub The Office sponsored me for £570, and the Punch Hotel and my work sponsored me too."
Tracy said: "Around 230 people attended the Ladies Night and it was a shame but we actually had to turn people away on the night."
She added: "It was really good to celebrate Megan's first birthday and she is doing really well now."
Tracy and Dean paid for the entertainment, which included a disco, a drag queen and stripper, so all the ticket and raffle proceeds went towards the final total.
