A 23-YEAR-OLD man who attacked a woman, and harassed her and her teenage daughter, could be facing jail.
Daniel Hammond's victims were vulnerable and his language - used in public - was extremely offensive, Burnley magistrates said.
Hammond was bailed until January 27 for a pre-sentence report, and the bench warned him they were considering custody.
Hammond, of Colin Street, Barnoldswick, was convicted of common assault after a trial, and admitted two harassment charges.
Sue Campbell, prosecuting, said Hammond had been at the woman's home as a party guest and she wanted everyone to leave. He started to call the woman's daughter a whore and refused to go anywhere.
The woman dragged Hammond to the front door, he tried to push his way back in, but was pushed into the garden.
Mrs Campbell said a scuffle followed between Hammond and the woman's friend.
Hammond then got hold of the woman by her T-shirt, pushed her into bushes, got hold of her neck and told her to shut up. She suffered reddening to her neck, and tenderness to her back.
Hammond later turned up at the woman's home and was refused entry. He told her she would not have a leg to stand on in court, shouted: "Your'e all whores and rats", and shouted and swore outside for about half-an- hour.
The following day Hammond, drinking from a bottle of cider, shouted abuse and swore at the 16- year-old.
Glen Smith, defending, said another man had started a fight outside with Hammond and the woman had intervened.
Hammond accepted his behaviour and comments were inappropriate, and he shouldn't have done it.
