Environmental charity, the Prospects Foundation, is appealing for people to join its volunteer working group.
The group meets on or around the last Saturday in every month to carry out maintenance and practical work on a variety of the Foundation's projects in Hyndburn.
Volunteers benefit by gaining practical experience, accessing free training courses and helping to improve their local environment.
The next meeting will be a winter tree identification training course at the Sparth Road woodlands, Whalley Road, Clayton-le-Moors, on Saturday, January 28, 10am to 1pm.
The volunteer working group is open to people of all ages and abilities and further days are scheduled for February 25 and March 25.
Places on January's winter tree identification session are limited and anyone interested taking part in that or who would like to get involved with the group can contact the Prospects Foundation on 01254 380675.
