Folk hero King Creosote is coming to Lancaster on February 24 on the back of the acclaim for his recent KC Rules OK album, recorded with the help of Burnley band The Earlies.
King Creosote - aka Kenny Anderson - first came into being in 1995 but it wasn't until 2003 that he released his first proper album, Kenny and Beth's Musakal Boatrides.
In between he formed the Fence Collective, a group of Fife-based musicians which include his brothers Een (Pip Dylan) and Gordon (Lone Pigeon), and built up a staunch following with several low-key CDR releases.
In 2005 he released a solo album Rocket DIY and then collaborated with The Earlies on KC Rules OK, the success of which has thrust him further into the limelight.
The upcoming tour, which features M Craft as support, will see King Creosote headline his biggest ever London show as well as the Farmers Arms show in Lancaster.
King Creosote plays the Farmers Arms in Lancaster on Friday, February 24.
