The acclaimed Lancashire Sinfonietta returns to Lancaster on December 8 with two early works by Haydn and a string composition from Stravinsky.
Under the direction of Lyn Fletcher, leader of the Hall Orchestra and a popular soloist at Hall concerts, they will play Haydn's Symphony No. 22 'Philosopher' and the C major Violin Concerto followed by Stravinsky's Concerto In D for string orchestra.
The programme ends with another fabulous work for the Tippett centenary year, the Concerto for Double String Orchestra.
