AWAY In A Manger, Silent Night . . . ahh, they bring back memories of the school choir. But in Blackpool on December 18 there's a chance to celebrate Christmas without earplugs or the numbing effects of one too many sherries because the Manchester Chamber Choir are taking to the stage.
In the best Grand Theatre tradition, this year's Christmas Concert features sumptuous baroque pearls to suit Frank Matcham's celestial auditorium.
Headlined by sequences from Handel's Messiah and Arcangelo Corelli's Christmas Concerto, each is an exhilarating masterpiece that has delighted and inspired players and audiences both of their own time and ever since.
The concert will be compred by Elaine Fossett, former circus artiste and actor.
The Manchester Camerata with Manchester Chamber Choir is at the Grand in Blackpool on Sunday, December 18 at 7.30pm. Call the Box Office on 01253 290190 to book your seats or book online at www.blackpoolgrand.co.uk. Tickets are priced from £9.50.
