A 20-year-old man who was thrown out of pubs in Leyland town centre for violent behaviour has been given a two year anti-social behaviour order.
Ryan Heyes, of Thurston Road, Leyland, is banned from going to the Original Ship, George IV, Leyland Conservative Club, all on Towngate and the Eagle and Child, in Church Road, all in Leyland after a catalogue of violent incidents over the past three years.
Mr Heyes, who will be 21 next week, is also banned from entering the grounds of St Mary's High School, Royal Avenue, Leyland, where he used to play as part of a local football league because, according to police he also behaved violently toward referees during football matches.
The two-year ASBO was taken out on Mr Heyes after he was involved in numerous assault, theft and criminal damage incidents as well as being drunk in a public place and in the pubs.
PC Rob Duerden, community beat manager, said: "This is an excellent result for the landlords at these pubs because Mr Heyes did try to go into the pubs even though he had been barred.
"He has been causing problems in the area for the last three years and hopefully this order will go some way in reassuring the local community."
Other conditions of the ASBO prevent Mr Heyes from using threatening or intimidating language or behaviour or encouraging anyone else to do so and he is also not allowed to deliberately or recklessly damage someone else's property.
PC Duerden said: "Anti-social behaviour orders are just one of a range of tactics being used by ourselves to tackle the concerns as highlighted by local residents.
"Hopefully the order will discourage other people from doing the same."
