UNWANTED mobile phones are about to earn a fortune for a Lancaster company - but it won't be keeping a single penny.
ShP Solutions is preparing for the rush of old phones from Blue Peter viewers.
And it will turn them into cash for the national charity ChildLine.
Every old or unwanted mobile phone donated to ShP for the Blue Peter Treasure Trail appeal will earn £3 for ChildLine - whatever its condition.
ShP marketing director Simon Walsh says: "ChildLine was one of the first charities ShP Solutions worked with, so it is great that we can be involved in such a scheme.
"Mobile recycling is simple yet can make a great difference and helping to confront issues such as bullying may make the scheme a life-saver."
Old or unwanted mobile phones can be sent to Freepost, Blue Peter Treasure Trail Appeal or, for 10 phones or more, collection can be arranged at www.bbc.co.uk/cbbc.
