Only two games went ahead in last weekend's Chorley Guardian Shield quarter finals but both turned out to be closely fought ties.
Division One's Fox and Grapes took on Premier League leaders St Joseph's. The game finished 4-2 to St Joseph's but it wasn't until late on that they sealed the victory.
Jackson and Dickson got the goals for the Fox and Grapes and McMenamin (2) and Swinhoe (2) for St Joseph's.
In the other tie the Prince of Wales won 2-1 against FC Bearcelona.
Craddock continued his good run of form with another goal after good work from Dove and Smalldon. Beevers grabbed the second for the Prince of Wales with a well struck left footed shot from outside the area.
FC Bearcelona scored in the 75th minute as the Prince of Wales clung on for the win.
In a fourth round Guardian Shield replay Adlington Rovers thrashed the Duke of York 4-1. Darlington continued his excellent start to the season with another two goals. Bewley and Burgess scored the others.
One league fixture took place with league leaders Bridge Celtic dropping their first points of the season, drawing 2-2 with AFC Duke
Barnard grabbed two for AFC Duke, Worrall and Ward scored for Bridge Celtic.
This weekend's league fixtures are: Premier League: Adlington Rovers v Printers Arms. Division One: Masons Arms v FC Bearcelona, AFC Duke v Duke of York and Clayton Nomads v Network Solutions. The Prince of Wales take on Fox and Grapes in a Mitre Trophy replay.
