We've had our fair share of gangster flics, thrillers and historical dramas of late but nothing beats a good old romantic comedy.
In Salaam Namaste Saif Ali Khan and Preity Zinta team up for the fourth time in Yash Rajs latest production. Theres no doubting the fact the two leads share a great chemistry on screen and with a simple plot expect this one to go big.
The film is shot entirely in Australia and revolves around the life of two different Indians each trying to make it away from their families.
Nikhil or Nick (Saif) as he likes to be known is a carefree cook who doesnt care for anything apart from having a good night out and the least amount of responsibilities as possible.
Enter Ambar (Zinta) an outgoing bubbly radio host who wants to meet everyone and anyone.
Now, normally at this stage we would be waiting for the ineviitable. Two people meet, they eventually fall in love and everything turns out just dandy. Surprisingly thats what happens but because the two lead actors are so good at playing their respective roles the film becomes quite enjoyable.
We don't give a thumbs up to Bollywood romantic comedy very often. But I guess it had to happen one day.
