Indian crime thrillers have got more and more adventurous of late.
Ever since Kaante everyone is trying their hand at keeping the audience at the edge of their seats.
Whilst most fizzle out after the first hour or so in Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena they finally get the formula right. Maybe thats due to the fact they they rip-off the best bits from as many Hollywood con films of late including, Oceans Twelve and Confidence.
Arjun Verma (Fardeen Khan) considers himself to be the biggest conman of all time. He joins up with Natasha Kapoor (Koena Mitra) to try and outwit the biggest criminal around.
But little does our charming hero know this lady has more tricks up her sleeve than he could ever imagine.
The duo are backed up by the usual petty crooks who all have a skill in one thing or the other.
Whilst the plot keeps us entertained its the criminal who steals the show. Feroz Khan not only oozes power his stylish protrayal of a criminal mastermind is fascinating.
Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena is cool, smart and at times funny. The soundtrack aint too bad either.
On the down side Bollywood always tries to simplify things when they dont have to so when all is revealed we arent that surprised at all.
Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena stars: Feroz Khan, Fardeen Khan, Koena Mitra and Gulshan Grovera and is Directed by:Suparn Verma
