AN all-day boozing binge ended in violence between a 30-year-old Blackburn man and his girlfriend, a court was told.
Blackburn magistrates heard Simon Paul Martin threw her out of their home during the row that started in front of a child.
And when she returned he grabbed her by the leg and dragged her into the front garden.
Martin, of Scotland Bank Terrace, pleaded guilty to assaulting Judith Clark.
He was made subject to a community supervision order for 15 months and must do 80 hours' community punishment. He was ordered to pay £50 compensation and £50 costs.
Wendy Chappell, prosecuting, said Miss Clark remembered being dragged across the floor and banging her head on a radiator before being thrown into the garden.
She said the victim went back into the house but was again dragged out.
Kevin Preston, defending, said his client forced Miss Clark out of the house on two occasions.
"He believed she was going to take their child out of the house and he perceived she was not in a fit state to do that," said Mr Preston.
