The European Parliament has proposed giving at least 80 million euros on top of the 13.6 million already donated for necessary long term development in Pakistan.
MEP for the North West Sajjad Karim said, These funds will be required to rebuild basic infrastructure such as medical facilities, schools, housing and roads.
With a reconstruction estimate of $5billion the financial reverberations of the earthquake will be felt in Pakistan well into the future, and these proposed extra funds will prove to be indispensable.
