THE new owner of a Rossendale security business is looking forward to an "exciting" future.

Simon Wilkinson took over Delta Fire and Security Protection Limited, which has operated locally for more than two decades, from David Fairbanks.

Mr Fairbanks, who set up the company 25 years ago to serve the domestic and small commercial market, will remain as a consultant to the company to provide support and continuity of customer service.

Mr Wilkinson said: "Delta is a hidden diamond and our strategy is to build on the success we have had over the years.

"The company has a solid track record based on superb customer service and that will remain a cornerstone, but we will also be looking to new markets. This is a very exciting time for Delta."

Mr Wilkinson has extensive experience in the security and protection industries, having worked on Ministry of Defence projects and local authority sites.

He added: "The aim is for Delta to build on the excellent service given to its existing customers and to strive to secure major project work too.

"We have everything in place to take Delta forward and the future is very exciting. "

To mark the company's new beginning, Delta has moved to a new office at the Link 665 Business Centre in Rawtenstall.
