Preston North End's unlucky striker Dave Nugent is back on the treatment table again after picking up a knee injury during Saturday's home win against Cardiff.
Nugent, who has been struggling with illness for the past few months and has not scored since August, was substituted at half-time during the 2-1 victory.
The former Bury hotshot is having tests today on the injury, which is believed to be a medial ligament problem.
Manager Billy Davies told the Lancashire Evening Post: "It doesn't seem to be too bad, so I don't think he will be out for too long.
"But it is a big blow coming on top of what the lad has just been through."
Davies may now look to extend Blackburn striker Jemal Johnson's loan spell at Deepdale to cover for Nugent's absence.
"Jemal has two more games to go and we will have a good chat with him through the week and have a look at it," said Davies.
