A DOOR-to-door salesman was punched in the face before two robbers made off with his £1,500 laptop.

The man, who was calling at homes in Galligreaves, Blackburn, trying to get residents to switch energy suppliers, was attacked at 7.45pm on Tuesday.

Two men in their early 20s punched the salesman in the face, in Essex Close and, after a short scuffle, managed to remove the laptop bag from his shoulder.

Detective Sergeant Paul Ryan said: "The victim is more shaken up than injured.

"If anyone has information about the two robbers, I would ask them to come forward."

One of the robbers is 5ft10in tall, stocky, and has short, dark hair. He was wearing jeans and a jumper.

The other is about the same height, has spots, and light brown hair. He was wearing a hooded top and tracksuit bottoms.
