Burnley hotshot Ade Akinbiyi is out to silence the Leicester boo-boys again tomorrow.

But the Championship's top goalscorer, who bagged the only goal at the Walkers Stadium a month ago, will gladly forego another matchwinner if the Clarets can extend their winning run to four games.

"It's Leicester and I suppose boos are going to be aimed at me again, but whatever they want to say, they can," said Akinbiyi.

"As long as we get the win, I don't care. Three points against Leicester is all that matters because that will keep us up there and if we get them I will be more than delighted."

Akinbiyi has become a hate-figure for City fans following a troubled spell with the Foxes following his record-breaking £5m transfer five years ago.

However, since the Clarets snapped up the striker for a cut-price £600,000 in February, Akinbiyi has quickly become a cult favourite at Turf Moor with 16 goals in just 30 starts.

And he credits his timely tap-in at Leicester last month with kick-starting his latest goal glut, which culminated in a hat-trick at Luton two weeks ago.

"Scoring against my old club a few weeks back got me going again, but I always knew I was going to go through a bad spell," added the striker, who took his tally to 12 with that Kenilworth Road treble.

"All strikers have them, but if I am working hard and the team is winning I don't really care. I know I am going to get my goals at some stage and that's what is happening."
