As a result of the increasing numbers of inquiries at the Clayton Brook Community House, we feel the need to inform the public that the Community House is unaffected by recent local issues highlighted in the Citizen (October 26).

As always, we will continue to work with all local groups who may need information or support from us as a local community association.

We remain committed to making our rooms and services available to local people as well as the Citizen's Advice Bureau outreach service here every Tuesday.

Our team of dedicated volunteers work hard to maintain all our normal services including the resource centre for photocopying faxing, etc.

Community learning courses are an important part of our repertoire of what we have on offer. We continue to work closely with both Runshaw College and Lancashire College to bring educational opportunities for local people right to the heart of the community, saving both time and money as well as increasing people's employment opportunities.

Although the group is not an affiliated group of the Community House, our services, as always, are extended to any members of the community who may require our support.

We look forward to the Clayton Brook Community Group finding a satisfactory resolution to their current issues enabling Clayton Brook groups and associations to move forward together.
